NSEC at the 165th North Somerset Show
On Monday 3rd May a team consisting of Daniel Cooper, Nathan Bidwell, Alice McWatters, Jacob Stallard and Eleni Krassos represented NSEC at this year’s North Somerset Show alongside North Somerset Council in Wraxall. The North Somerset Show has been running for over 160 years and presents the very best of livestock and horses showcased with rural events, crafts and food.
It was a wonderful day and a great opportunity to talk about upcoming service changes and showcase our new recycling vehicle. Throughout the day our team spoke to residents of North Somerset and beyond who had many brilliant questions regarding the changes coming this summer. Children especially loved the new bright and colourful design and enjoyed climbing in and out of the cab to have a go at driving (keys safely hidden away).
As well as presenting at this year’s event, it was lovely to see the local community of North Somerset coming together and putting on a magnificent show. From North Somerset Strongest Man Competition to VE Day Celebrations it really showed how great our local community is.
Overall, the day was a massive success, with both North Somerset Environment and North Somerset Council very pleased with the feedback received and look forward to following up queries raised on the day. Thank you to the organizers for hosting such an incredible event, it was an honour to be part of it. We also want to extend our gratitude to North Somerset Council for inviting us to this year’s event and a huge thank you to the NSEC team who took time out of their Bank Holiday Weekend to attend the event, your efforts were greatly appreciated.
