Ambition

    Weston Carnival

    As of 2025,NSEC are proud to be partners with Weston Carnival. Supporting them in Recycling & Waste Collection and Event Cleansing. Our team ensured the streets of Weston-super-Mare were kept spotless and helped attendees recycle correctly with our Recycling Stations dotted around the area.

    Noah's Ark Zoo Farm

    Members of our team supported in the creation of a new art installation at Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm. The installation made completely out of recycled Christmas Tree’s collected in North Somerset, aims to raise awareness of conservation initiatives and showcasing all the different ways natural materials can be repurposed.

    Weston Super Half Marathon

    In October 2025, 6 of our Colleagues took part in the WestonSuperHalf Marathon, raising over £2,000 for our two chosen charities, The Monkey Tree Charity and Weston HospiceCare. Despite the difficult conditions, all of our team finished the 13.1 mile course, representing our company with pride, passion and community spirit.

    St Peter's Squirrels Group

    NSEC supported the 3rd Weston-super-Mare St Paul’s Squirrels as they took to the streets for a community litter pick, showing that you’re never to young to make a difference to our neighbourhood. NSEC has donated equipment to the group so they can continue to help the local community with regular litter picks.

    Seasonal Fundraisers

    Throughout the year, NSEC will hold fundraisers for local charities in the North Somerset. Each Christmas we will hold a Christmas Jumper Day and a Christmas Raffle, all raising money for good causes.

    The Monkey Tree Charity

    Ahead of the 2025 Weston SuperHalf Marathon, we selected the Monkey Tree Charity as one of our 2 chosen charities. The Monkey Tree Charity. The team do fantastic work in the local community to provide free on loan wheelchair hire to children and young adults who are battling terminal / life limiting illnesses

    Weston HospiceCare

    Weston Hospice Care provide palliative care for people with life limiting illnesses and make sure them and their families have all the support they need. Based round the corner from our Westlands Depot, our team visited the site seeing first hand the brilliant work they do.

    School Visits

    Our Recycling Advisor Alice McWatters regularly visits schools in the North Somerset region to provide free workshops about Recycling and Waste Collection. The interactive workshops allow the younger generation to understand the importance of Recycling through fun games and activities.
